7/26/2010, market research company Dell'Oro's latest optical communications market report that in 2014 global sales of DWDM market is expected to reach 9.3 billion U.S. dollars, 30 billion from 40G/100Gbps equipment market.

Dell'Oro noted that even if the pressure in the optical equipment market in 2009, 40Gbps DWDM equipment market growth is still evident. In the DWDM equipment market downturn, 40G equipment sales continue to double.

At the same time, though now there is 100Gbps DWDM equipment, the next few years is still dominated by 40Gbps device. Sales of 40Gbps devices is expected to meet the annual growth rate of 55%. 100Gbps equipment sales to wait until after 2012, decreased significantly after the price began to increase.
